The house was built towards the end of the 19th century and expanded in 1970. Originally, it was an outpost of a huge estancia extending over 40’000 hectares of land belonging to the Hounie family. The best word to describe it is probably “cozy”. Just by seeing it you may dream of spending time reading in an armchair or struggling through the lovely parkway of ancient trees. The house hosts up to 10 people. Along with the main bedroom, there is another suite as well as three twin rooms sharing two bathrooms. Everything looks genuine in this house, just as a country house is supposed to look. This is the real kid’s paradise, where everything and everyone is uncomplicated. They can run around and ride free of dangers, allowing their parents to enjoy their well deserved siestas between the meals and proposed activities.

Meals are prepared by Irma who will also take care of your well-being. Logistical matters are carried out by her husband Portillo. Matilde will assist the landlords with her organizational knowledge and cover your needs giving information you may desire and set up your activities program according to your wishes.

If available, we serve fresh, home-grown organic food such as meat, milk, eggs or vegetables. We offer a variety of typical local plates but are flexible to attend your special wishes whenever possible.

As a functioning farm many animals are to be seen all over the place. The “gaucho” drives the flock and cattle to the pasture every morning and back at sunset.
